Nintendo is planning to launch eight Game Boy Advance games for the Wii U Virtual Console next month, the company announced today.
Throughout April, players can snag the first set of GBA games to be released through the Wii U eShop. Also included in this month's new content is classic NES title Super Mario Bros. 3, which launches through both the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS eShops on April 17.
The full release schedule for April includes:
- April 3: Advance Wars, Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, Metroid Fusion — $7.99 each
- April 10: Kirby and The Amazing Mirror, WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$! — $6.99 each
- April 17: Super Mario Bros. 3 for Wii U and 3DS — $4.99; F-Zero: Maximum Velocity — $6.99; Golden Sun — $7.99
- April 24: Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3 — $7.99
During a Nintendo Direct presentation earlier this year, Nintendo president Satoru Iwata announced the launch of Game Boy Advance titles on the Wii U Virtual Consoles. New GBA titles will launch for the service each month, Iwata said.
