Strike Suit Zero: Director's Cut hits April 8 on PS4 and Xbox One, PC later

Strike Suit Zero: Director's Cut will be released April 8 in North America on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One for $19.99, developer Born Ready Games announced today.

European PS4 owners will have to wait until April 9. The Director's Cut will be cheaper on PS4 than Xbox One in the U.K. (£15.39 instead of £15.99) and Europe (€17.99 instead of €19.99). The launch date represents a slight delay from the previously announced release window of March 2014. Born Ready said today on Twitter that the Director's Cut will be available on PC as well; the studio doesn't yet have a concrete release date, but it will be "very close to the console launch."

In a new developer diary, Born Ready explained all the changes and upgrades included in the Director's Cut of Strike Suit Zero; the game was originally released in January 2013 on Linux, Mac and Windows PC. The studio restructured the campaign to help ease players in, redid many ship models, improved the graphics all around, added two extra Strike Suits and more. The package will also come with the Heroes of the Fleet campaign, which includes five additional missions.
