Jetpack Zombie and Laser Bean are two of the characters making an appearance in Far Future, the first expansion for Plants vs Zombies 2.
Electronic Arts and PopCap's update, out now for iOS and Android, introduces a futuristic map, eight new plants and 10 freshly emerged zombie types. Today's trailer shows some of the new characters dropped into the game's signature tower defense gameplay.
PopCap launched Plants vs. Zombies 2: It's About Time on iOS last year, followed by the game's release on Android two months later. Downloads of this second installment in the series quickly exceeded total sales of the original 2010 release, according to EA.
