Blizzard Entertainment announced today that it will begin inviting select Battle.net users into the early alpha for Heroes of the Storm to test the game's infrastructure and technology.
Dubbed the Technical Alpha, the developers wrote to the game's website that the core experience of the game is there, but "it's still very much in the early stages of development." As such, the Technical Alpha serves to help the developers "examine how our infrastructure and tech will function across a broader spectrum of machines and connection types."
The Technical Alpha will be available to a limited number of participants and will at first be restricted to players in the United States. Those interested in receiving an invitation should opt into the game's testing via their Battle.net Beta Profile page.
Heroes of the Storm is a Mac and Windows PC multiplayer online battle arena game that combines the heroes from the Warcraft, Diablo and StarCraft franchises. The game was originally titled Blizzard All-Stars before being rebranded to Heroes of the Storm in October last year.
