Tiny Brains gets new content, price drop and cross-buy on PlayStation platforms

New, 5 comments

Spearhead Games' co-op puzzle title Tiny Brains is now $9.99 on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and Windows PC, the developer announced on its website.

The PS3 and PS4 versions are also now cross-buy compatible; players who purchase the game on one platform will get the other platform's version at no extra charge.

A new update based on community feedback has also been added to Tiny Brains, shown in the trailer above. Road to Stardom mode has 10 new time-based puzzle challenges as well as a new scoring system, and the progression system has been tweaked to follow stars players earn. The update adds a new superpower for the hamster, allowing him to freeze objects in addition to creating ice blocks.

The UI has also been tweaked to allow better navigation through challenges and game modes, and the Tiny Brains demo has been given online functionality to allow trial players to host games through Chapter 1 and join campaigns hosted by players with the full version.

Tiny Brains launched in December. The following month, Spearhead spoke with Polygon about the lessons learned launching the title, including what the studio could have done to make the game more successful.
