Google Maps April Fools' joke challenges you to become a Pokemon master

Google Maps is celebrating April Fools' Day early this year with a video ad for its latest job listing: Pokemon master.

The video, which you can watch above, shows users traveling the world and catching Pokemon through augmented reality.

"Pokemon masters are the world's greatest digital explorers, and their passion for exploring will take our maps to the next dimension," the video's narrator says.

Google's Pokemon master job may be fake, but iOS and Android versions of Google Maps currently offer an option to embark on a map-based Pokemon quest. By tapping the Start button next to the Pokeball icon on the app's search bar, users can browse through a map and catch different creatures with a tap. The app also includes a Pokedex of 150 Pokemon, though not all of them appear to be the series' original 150.
