Scrolling shooter Raiden 4: Overkill coming to PS3 in April

Japanese shooter Raider 4: Overkill will hit PlayStation 3 in the West this April, North American publisher UFO Interactive announced in a new trailer for the game.

Overkill, a revamped version of the original Raiden 4, originally launched on North American Xbox 360 consoles in 2009. The game will arrive on PlayStation Network for the first time through UFO Interactive, featuring additional power-ups and enemies on top of the base game.

The scrolling shooter originally released to arcades in Japan before releasing to North America through publisher Fabtek. The series has since been revived and licensed by Moss with the release of Raiden 3 in 2005 and Raiden 4 in 2007. Raiden Legacy, a mobile addition to the series, launched in 2012 for iOS and Android devices.
