Darkseid, the devious DC Comics character, has joined the mobile version of Injustice: Gods Among Us roster, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC Entertainment today announced.
A special challenge event to celebrate the fighters inclusion will take place from March 6-24, offering players the chance to fight in a series of battles that could reward them with an exclusive Gold Character Card.
The NetherRealm Studios-developed app launched for iPad, iPhone and iPod touch devices last year, followed by an Android version by Virtuous. The app is a free-to-play game based off the DC Comics universe with collectible card mechanics. The title features three-on-three tag team combat with famous super heroes and villains.
Injustice: Gods Among Us launched April 16 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Wii U. Players who complete specific goals on the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions can unlock characters on the mobile versions and vice versa.
