Grand Theft Auto 5's iFruit app launches for PlayStation Vita

Grand Theft Auto 5's smartphone and tablet companion app, iFruit, is now available for the PlayStation Vita, according to Sony Entertainment Network's official site.

The free app was released for iOS alongside the game when it launched in September. With the app, users can create their own vehicles and babysit Chop — the canine companion to GTA 5 protagonist Franklin. By spending time with Chop in the app, he'll become more responsive in-game, perform tricks, sniff out hidden items and more.

iFruit is also available for Android devices and Windows phones. Additional plans for the app include PlayStation Mobile.
