SimCity 4: Deluxe Edition has been updated for current Mac systems and is now available to download for OS X 10.8.5 or higher, Aspyr Media announced today.
In SimCity 4, players take on the role of mayor as they attempt to build and develop cities. Players have the power to control natural disasters to wreck their cities, and then clean messes up with emergency responders.
The digital version of the Deluxe Edition includes new transportation, such as a ferry and monorail system, and has been updated to include recent bug fixes and performance enhancements. The game packages the core SimCity 4 experience with the SimCity 4: Rush Hour expansion pack.
Priced at $19.99, the digital Deluxe Edition for Mac is available only through Apple's Mac App Store at the moment, though it is expected to launch through Steam and other digital retailers "in coming weeks."
The SimCity 4 Deluxe edition is currently available for Windows PC via Steam. The game was originally released in 2003.
