The Mighty Quest for Epic Loot gets pet companions today

Free-to-play dungeon crawling adventure The Mighty Quest for Epic Loot now allows players to keep pets, unique critters that will provide companionship and combat assistance on players' journeys, publisher Ubisoft announced.

Pets will charge into battle alongside characters and can pick up dropped Loot, Gold and Life Force for players who are preoccupied with combating enemies. Creature types include a dragon, large spider, a hamster in a clear ball and the more exotic option of a tentacle sticking out of a bucket.

The squid-in-a-bucket is available for 7,000 Gold and can only be purchased once per account. All other pets are available for 575 in-game Blings.

Players can train their pets by tweaking the kind and quantity of items they fetch in the game's Options menu — otherwise they will pick up everything that drops. Players can customize the kind of Loot their pets go for, including specializing in grabbing Legendary, Exceptional and Magic items.
