Respawn Entertainment's critically acclaimed mech shooter Titanfall will not be released for Xbox Live Games on Demand, according to a post on publisher Electronic Arts' support website.
The post notes that the decision was made after repeatedly testing the Xbox 360 version, with the company feeling a launch on the Games of Demand service would not accurately convey Respawn's experience.
"After extensive testing, we felt that it simply did not represent the true Titanfall experience and it was decided not to release a Games on Demand version," reads the post.
"As we never officially announced that Titanfall would be available via Games on Demand and the option to purchase it that way should have never been offered. We hope players understand this decision was all about quality and making sure you get the best Titanfall experience."
Titanfall launched first for Xbox One and Windows PC on March 11. The Xbox 360 version, created by Metal Gear Solid HD Collection and PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale for PlayStation Vita developer Bluepoint Games, was released last week. The game's most recent update added the ability for players to create private matches.
