Pet simulation title PlayStation Vita Pets will launch for Sony's handheld on June 3, the company announced today in a post on the PlayStation Blog.
U.K. developer Spiral House Games announced the title in August of last year. Players will choose to raise one of four talking puppies, each with their own personality and characteristics. Inside the in-game home, players will be able to bathe, dress up, train and play with their puppies. They will also teach their puppies how to behave and navigate the world outside, traveling around the island on which they live and unraveling an ancient story about a king and his dog.
Players and their pups will explore a handful of different environments, from woods to graveyards to an abandoned castle. Only through training will the dogs be able to handle the journey.
"None of this is possible without your pet pal though, through nurturing, training and playing together your dog will gain the skills you both need to be able to progress deeper into the world, crawling, pulling, digging, jumping and more will all come into play if you want to be able to uncover all the secrets of Castlewood Island," reads the post from SCEA producer Jenny Murphy.
More details on PlayStation Vita Pets will be shared in the coming weeks.
