Lethal League, which puts a baseball spin on the traditional 2D fighting game, is coming to Windows PC in the third quarter of 2014, developer Team Reptile announced recently.
Hilversum, Netherlands-based indie studio Team Reptile describes Lethal League as a "competitive projectile fighting game." The projectile in question is a baseball, and the fighters — up to four — attempt to smack it in the direction of their opponents using baseball bats or other similar implements.
Team Reptile has revealed three playable characters for Lethal League so far. Raptor, a 15-year-old boy, uses a Little League-approved aluminum bat. A skateboard is the weapon of choice for Switch, a 5-year-old robot who evokes Futurama's Bender. And Candyman is a 28-year-old mutated human with a big yellow ball for a head and a yellow cane for a whacking tool.
According to Team Reptile, Lethal League will support online multiplayer using GGPO, and will be available on Steam. For more, check out the game's website.
