Outlast: Whistleblower, the first add-on for the horror game Outlast, will be released May 6 for $8.99 on PlayStation 4 and Windows PC, developer Red Barrels Games confirmed today.
The studio originally planned to release the DLC this month, but then delayed it to May. Whistleblower is a prequel to Outlast that tells the tale of Waylon Park, the individual who tips off journalists to the horrific conditions at Mount Massive Asylum. Those journalists included Miles Upshur, the protagonist of the original game. In Whistleblower, players will return to the asylum and explore its halls to discover the conspiracies and experiments within.
Red Barrels also said today that the PC version of Outlast will go on sale next week. Its regular price is $19.99. In the meantime, you can check out our full review.
