Doom and Myst creators to discuss their games 20 years later at NYU April 18

John Romero, a creator of Doom at id Software, and Rand Miller, a creator of Myst at Cyan, will look back on the two decades since their influential games were released on Friday, April 18, at NYU Game Center.

Frank Lantz, director of NYU Game Center, will moderate the "free-wheeling conversation," which will include discussions of their respective games and the future of the industry. The talk will be free and open to the public, and those interested in attending can RSVP through Eventbrite.

For more on Romero, be sure to read our coverage of an event held late last year at The University of California Santa Cruz's campus to celebrate Doom's first two decades. You can learn more about Miller's most recent project, a Kickstarter-funded spiritual successor to Myst called Obduction, in Polygon's interview with its creator.
