Watch 24 minutes of Grimm Bros' Dragon Fin Soup in action

Indie developer Grimm Bros shared a new video with Polygon this morning offering a first look at gameplay in its roguelike role-playing game hybrid Dragon Fin Soup.

The video above, narrated by Grimm co-founder and designer Randis Albion, details the in-game world, combat mechanics and a little bit more about protagonist Red Robin. Check out our recent hands-on with the title as well as our interview with Grimm's Ash Monif on why he and partner Albion decided to build a roguelike hybrid.

Dragon Fin Soup is currently seeking funding through Kickstarter. The title has already exceeded its $24,000 goal and is close to reaching its $90,000 stretch goal, which will add playable skeletons in the game's Survival and Labyrinth modes. The $100,000 stretch goal will add a new playable character — Morigiana from the 1001 Arabian Nights short story Alibaba and the 40 Thieves.

Dragon Fin Soup will be playable at PAX East this weekend, April 11-13. Polygon will be in attendance covering the show.
