Eve developer CCP Games will livestream Eve Fanfest 2014 for those who can't make it to the event with two different streams, one free and one paid, the studio announced today.
A standard-definition version of the event stream will be available for free on CCP's Twitch channel, with a pre-show set to begin at 2 p.m. ET on April 24. In order to watch Fanfest in high definition, viewers will have to pay $19.95 (or one PLEX, which is equivalent to a 30-day extension of an Eve Online subscription).
Those who buy the HD stream from CCP will receive a few bonus items: a choice of one of four unique skins for ships in Eve Online, digital copies of the Fanfest 2014 "Quafe" T-shirt (one male, one female) and special giveaways during streams. The paid stream will also be available for purchase through Twitch.
Eve Fanfest 2014, the tenth Fanfest, will run from May 1-3 at the Harpa Concert Hall and Conference Center in Reykjavik, Iceland, and Polygon will bring you coverage of the show. CCP is working on Eve Online and its shooter tie-in, Dust 514, as well as two upcoming games: the virtual reality air combat title Eve: Valkyrie, which will be available on Oculus Rift and Sony's Project Morpheus, and the massively multiplayer online game World of Darkness.
