Super Time Force's latest trailer takes it slow

Owen S. Good is a longtime veteran of video games writing, well known for his coverage of sports and racing games.

Those who have followed Super Time Force's development since it began in 2011 know a key theme of the platformer is rewinding time to combine all your previous deaths into an unbeatable army. However, it makes sense that you'd be able to manipulate time in other ways, too — such as slowing it down.

Capybara Games' latest trailer shows off the usefulness of a temporary bullet-time power up, which seem to pop up at opportune moments, such as right before a boss battle. With so much live ammo zinging around the screen, it might help to duck into the matrix every now and assess the situation.

Super Time Force launches for Xbox 360 and Xbox One on Wednesday. For more on the game, see this extended demo from Game Developers Conference 2014.
