As a result of GameSpy Technology's shutdown, several of Capcom's titles are migrating to new services, community manager Brett Elston announced via Capcom-Unity.
Street Figher 3: Third Strike Online Edition and Marvel vs. Capcom Origins have already been migrated to new services with "no issues," Elston wrote. Lost Planet 3 for PlayStation 3 and Windows PC, meanwhile, is in the process of migrating now.
"Migration to a new service has already begun, so we're not anticipating any online downtime," Elston wrote. "However, due to switching servers the leaderboards and current play stats will be reset. We'll have more information about the reset soon, so please check back. (Note the X360 version is unaffected.)"
All versions of Age of Booty and Flock! will not be transferred. Both will be available to play offline, while online options will cease to function.
GameSpy provides multiplayer function to games on consoles, computers and mobile devices; the service will cease function on May 31. While games such as Star Wars: Battlefront 2 and Star Wars: Empire At War: Gold Pack will be taken offline along with nearly 20 2K-published games, other titles such as Halo: Combat Evolved will survive the shutdown.
