EA Sports UFC trailer wants you to be Bruce Lee

When Bruce Lee enters a fight in EA Sports UFC, EA Sports wants players to feel like the legendary fighter himself, according to a recent trailer.

Lee, revealed as the game's mystery fighter in April, will be available to unlock in the game's flyweight, bantam weight, featherweight and lightweight divisions. In the trailer above, UFC fighters and the the game's creators discuss Lee's impact on today's competition and his appearance in the game.

"When you're fighting as Bruce Lee, we want to make sure you feel that speed, that power, that agility that he was known for," EA Sports UFC creative director Brian Hayes said. "We want to make sure that when you're controlling Bruce Lee inside the Octagon, you feel like the dragon."

Many fighters cite Lee as a major influence on their goals and motivations for joining the UFC, a statement that UFC president Dana White echoes.

"You ask any fighter out there growing up who their inspiration was, everybody says Bruce Lee," White said. "I think the sport of mixed martial arts was started by Bruce Lee."

EA Sports UFC launches for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One June 17. Those who pre-order the game will receive instant access to the fighter. For more on why Lee will make an appearance in the game, check out our interview with his daughter, Shannon Lee.
