Creation in The Sims 4 will be 'more intuitive, more powerful'

The latest gameplay trailer for The Sims 4, the next installment in the life simulator franchise, offers a look at the game's "tactile, more intuitive and much more powerful" character creation system.

Unlike The Sims 3, where players had to dig through menus to customize their character, players can directly manipulate features. In the video above, producer Ryan Vaughan demonstrates how players can simply push or pull on a Sim's body to give them shape. Sims can be created with a few clicks or in painstaking detail.

"With a variety of facial features I have to play with, I can finally create sims that look like they truly come from around the world," Vaughan said.

Players can also tweak a Sim's personality, voice, walk and more. Check out the video above for a in-depth look at the game's creation system.

The Sims 4 is expected to launch by October, following a delay last year.
