A new trailer for Pixel Heart, a documentary looking to shed light on the process of creating video games, introduces viewers to the developers it will follow.
In the video above, Pixel Heart's creator — a French gamemaker named Charles — introduces LittleBigPlanet and Tearaway developer Mark Healey, Rez creator Tetsuya Mizuguchi, Journey developer Robin Hunicke, Edmundo Bordeu of Zeno Clash fame and Eyram Tawia from Leti Arts studio. A sixth, unannounced developer from India will also be featured in the documentary.
In addition to following the process of creating games, Pixel Heart will wrap up with a 100-developer, 48-hour game jam in Paris, France. Half the games from the jam will be available online, while the more interactive titles will be available through a traveling exhibit. Pixel Heart will be available as both a film and interactive web documentary.
"You will experience a crazy adventure around the globe, and then you'll be able to play all the games the developers created," Charles said.
Announced earlier this month, Pixel Heart's creators are attempting to raise €60,000 (about $82,000) via French crowdfunding site Ulule. At the time of this post, they've raised more than $9,000. Crowdfunding efforts end in 26 days.
