The female villager from Animal Crossing will be a playable fighter in Nintendo's next entry in the Super Smash Bros. franchise, director Masahiro Sakurai revealed today on Miiverse.
"Pic of the day," Sakurai said, posting the image above. "You can choose to play as the girl villager too! How lovely."
The male villager from Animal Crossing was revealed alongside the game's 2014 release date last year. The character is new to the series, along with Mega Man, the Wii Fit Trainer, Rosalina, Charizard and Greninja.
Super Smash Bros. launches for Nintendo 3DS this summer and Wii U this winter.
