Square Enix is collaborating with Valve to release Left 4 Dead: Survivors, a version of the zombie shooter reconditioned for play in arcades over in Japan. This week, the YouTube channel for Taito (a subsidiary of Square Enix) released this video showing what it looks like.
Left 4 Dead: Survivors appears to blend elements of both Left 4 Dead games while recasting the four teammates as Japanese characters. It's still a first-person shooter, and the video only shows glimpses of the survivors.
This isn't Valve's first foray into Japanese arcades. Back in 2006, it collaborated with Square Enix on Half-Life 2: Survivor, an adaptation based on that series. Left 4 Dead: Survivors is expected to launch in Japan sometime this year.
