The prize pool for The International 2014 — the world championships of Dota 2 — is up to $5.7 million now, and seems certain to top $6 million and deliver every stretch goal Valve has offered to Dota 2 fans who buy the official companion app for the tournament.
The last reward, Base Customization, will give an item to Compendium buyers that grants the ability to customize a building within their base. The Compendium is a virtual book that keeps players updated on tournament events, and it costs $10; $2.50 of the purchase is added to the prize pool.
Regional qualifying still is underway for The International, whose sold out finals will be held July 18-21 at KeyArena in Seattle. Alliance beat Natus Vincere in last year's The International to win more than $1.4 million in prize money.
