Microsoft corporate vice president Phil Harrison will keynote the second annual D.I.C.E. Europe Conference. The Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences (AIAS) and Video Games Intelligence (VGI) announced today.
For his keynote, Harrison will share his vision of the future of interactive entertainment based on the D.I.C.E. Europe theme for 2014 "Without Borders." The theme looks at "the global nature of interactive entertainment with an eye towards unique future developments, emerging markets, and the companies and individuals driving the proliferation of all things interactive."
"The Academy is honored to have Phil lead the conversation around our theme, Without Borders, as we look to spur discussion among all attendees about how our creative culture is tackling, and succeeding, in shaping a world where the boundaries of technology, products, and communication are starting to disappear," said Martin Rae, president, Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences. "Also, many thanks to our Video Games Intelligence partners, whose passion and commitment to bringing the D.I.C.E. brand to Europe have helped expand our own borders!"
The event will take place at Royal Garden Hotel Kensington, London on Sept. 23-24, 2014. The conference will begin with a go-karting tournament on Sept. 23, followed by Harrison's opening keynote in the evening and a welcome party. The following day will consist of a schedule of speakers and a closing night party. Registration for D.I.C.E. Europe is now open and interested parties can register via the official website to qualify for the early bird pricing.
