Helldivers hits PS3, PS4 and PS Vita this summer

Helldivers, developer Arrowhead Game Studios' top-down, twin-stick shooter, is scheduled for a summer 2014 release on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita, PlayStation social media specialist Ryan Clements announced today on the PlayStation Blog. 

Revealed last year at Gamescom, Helldivers will include multiplayer battles in randomly generated environments. To make warfare interesting (and potentially devious, depending on who you're playing with), it will also include always-on friendly fire. 

"Newcomers will inevitably kill their teammates with stray assault rifle fire or an ill-placed grenade, which — surprisingly — leads to a lot of laughs," Clements wrote.
