Powerstar Golf, developer Zoe Mode's Xbox One-exclusive sports game, now has a Free Version available to download  in the Xbox Games Store.

Powerstar Golf was released last November as an Xbox One launch title for $19.99. According to its description, Powerstar Golf: Free Version bundles a "selection of events," like a hole from every course, match and stroke play and the ability to earn credits, XP and ability-improving gear. The Xbox Store now sells four 18-hole Powerstar Golf courses for $5.99 each. A Full Game Unlock item in the Store comes with five courses (including one you can't buy in the marketplace) for the cartoonish golf simulator, six new characters, 45 career events and more for $19.99. All of the new marketplace offerings are available though an Unlock Game Packs menu option within the game. As before, you're also able to buy in-game credits with real money.

For more on Powerstar Golf, a game that "wraps all the anxiety and the excitement of a next-generation console into one unassuming golf game," be sure to read Polygon's review. You can also watch the game's announcement trailer below.
