The Wolf Among Us — Telltale's episodic game based on the Fables comic book series — is listed on several retailers for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, suggesting that the game could see a next-gen console release soon.
The Wolf Among Us follows the Big Bad Wolf, known as Bigby Wolf in human form, as he investigates murders surrounding the Fables community. Retailers such as Best Buy and GameStop have the game tagged with a $29.99 price tag. GameStop includes a release date of Dec. 31, which is likely a placeholder, while Best Buy lists Aug. 26. We've reached out to Telltale for comment and will update accordingly.
In April, PS4 and Xbox One listings for one of Telltale's other properties, The Walking Dead, also appeared on retailer websites.
The Wolf Among Us is currently available for iOS, PlayStation 3, Windows PC and Xbox 360. The fourth episode, In Sheep's Clothing, launched this week. A release date for the fifth and final episode of the season has not yet been announced.
