A future Xbox One update may give users the ability to take and share screenshots, according to a tweet from Xbox head Phil Spencer.
Spencer responded this week to a question about whether users will be able to share game screenshots to social networks like Twitter. "Yea, this is the list for the monthly updates, team is making great progress on the updates," Spencer wrote. "More features to come."
Since its release last November, Microsoft has delivered a steady stream of updates that brought features like party chat changes and new friends notifications to the console. A system update scheduled for June will deliver external storage and real name support.
Sony's newest console, the PlayStation 4, shipped last November with the ability to take screenshots and share them on Facebook and Twitter. PS4 update 1.70, released late last month, also added the ability to save screenshots to USB storage devices.
