Ultra Street Fighter 4 will include a YouTube tool that allows players to share recordings of matches, even if they have been played offline.
Street Fighter community manager David Hinds announced the plan on the Capcom Unity blog, as well as a Training Mode Fight Request feature that allows players to practice in Training Mode whilst awaiting online challengers. "No more sitting in lobbies, or completing Arcade Mode over and over," stated Hinds. "Stay warmed up and practice combos in between online matches."
Back in January, Capcom announced that players will be able to select clips from their online matches log and upload them directly to their personal YouTube channel. The new feature extends that service to offline games.
"Have you ever been playing offline with your friends and wished you were able to go back and watch a replay of a particular match?" asked Hines. "Well now you can, with the Offline Battle Log. Once enabled, your offline matches will be automatically archived, and you can replay them back like you would with your favourite online matches."
Ultra Street Fighter 4 will launch for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in June, with a Windows PC version set to launch in August. Players who already own Super Street Fighter 4 can upgrade to Ultra for $14.99 or purchase the title as a standalone for $39.99 on consoles and $29.99 on Windows PC.
