Hack 'n' Slash, Double Fine Productions hacking-themed action puzzle game conceived during the company's annual Amnesia Fortnight game jam, is now available through Steam Early Access for Windows PC, Mac and Linux.
The title is $19.99 and players can pick up the game and soundtrack for $24.99. Remaining development on Hack 'n' Slash's mechanics, features and puzzle design include the addition of the final dungeon, extra puzzles and Steam Workshop integration.
Players take on the role of an elf named Alice who uses her "computer hacking skills to cheat her way through a classic action/adventure game." Armed with a USB connector-tipped sword, Alice can hack in-game objects — such as blocks, barrels, moving platforms and enemies — to manipulate the action-adventure title.
Hack 'n' Slash was announced last December and is slated for a full launch this summer. To learn more about the game and how Double Fine plans to ease players into Hack 'n' Slash's mechanics, check out our preview and interview with project lead Brandon Dillon.
