Valve's Portal will launch for the Nvidia Shield Android-based handheld gaming console on May 12, Nvidia confirmed with Polygon today.
Android Authority initially reported the release date for Portal along with a price tag of $9.99. The game will be available for purchase through the Google Play Store — although it will not be playable on Android devices other than the Shield.
The version running on Shield will be the same as the original Windows PC version, which launched in 2007. Nvidia announced in March that Portal would be coming to Shield, and that the port was being developed internally at the company.
The Shield's latest update upgraded its operating system to version 4.4.2 of Android software KitKat — this is what you can do with Nvidia's handheld streaming console now.
