Internet Explorer Developer Channel includes Xbox 360 controller support

Microsoft's newly announced Internet Explorer Developer Channel will allow devs to add gamepad support to web apps and games, IE partner group program manager Jason Weber announced via the Microsoft Developer Network blog.

The Explorer Developer Channel is a "fully functioning browser designed to give Web developers and early adopters a sneak peek at the web platform features we're working on." It features Gamepad API support and allows developers to use JavaScript for their controller needs; it's currently available for Windows 8.1 and Windows 7 SP1 users with Internet Explorer 11.

According to the post, the update is one of many future Developer Channel releases.

Internet Explorer continues to partner with developers to release classic games and titles available on other platforms, such as 1995's Hover or mobile spin-off Assassin's Creed Pirates.
