Video Games: The Movie takes a nostalgic look at the medium's beginnings, while embracing how games of the future could shape our lives.
Due for theatrical and digital release in mid-July by Variance, the film, which was partly funded on Kickstarter, features multiple interviews that look at the changing face of gaming, its cultural impact and what it means for fans and players around the world.
"Games are a part of the human experience and permeate our culture now more than ever before," said director Jeremy Snead. "I'm thrilled that my film will expose the world to a never-before-told story of the men and women who built this industry as well as what it has become and what it will continue to evolve into, and I'm thrilled to be partnering with Variance to bring it out to the world."
