Flashback dev announces adventure game Subject 13

French game designer Paul Cuisset will release a new adventure game called Subject 13 in partnership with indie publisher Microids, the developer announced today.

Cuissett, known for his work on titles such as Flashback: The Quest for Identity, The Stealth Affair and Future Wars, will "explore the adventure game universe with a title that transports the player to a mysterious and intriguing world." Subject 13 stars a reclusive physics professor named Franklin Fargo who finds himself in an abandoned facility following the death of his fiancée. Only a strange voice that refers to him as "Subject 13" is present.

"As Franklin Fargo, players will interact with the 3D environment around them by collecting, using and manipulating objects to overcome a multitude of devious barriers to the professor's escape," the announcement reads. "Fargo's goal is to not only set himself free but discover the true reasons for his imprisonment."

Platforms and a release date have not yet been announced. More information on the game is expected soon.
