For the third year running, the Evo fighting game tournament will offer a selection of games from independent developers in its Indie Showcase.
The 2014 Showcase's games include the following:
- Advent Saga from Pro-Gen Studios, a developer made up of Evo competitors
- Aztez, Team Colorblind's black, white and blood red fighting game
- Battle Golf Association, a golf-based fighting game from Double Fine Productions' David Gardner and Patrick Hacket
- Gunsport, Necrosoft Games' futuristic title set in a future where gub battles replace war
- Lethal League, a projectile-based fighting game from Team Reptile
- Nidhogg, Messhof's pixelated fencing game
- TowerFall Ascension, Matt Thorson's arrow-infused multiplayer fighting game
- Videoball, Action Button Entertainment blend of basketball, football, soccer, shooters and real-time strategy
- Starwhal, developer Breakfall's narwhal-based local multiplayer fighting game
- Yatagarasu Attack on Cataclysm, a 2D fighting game from former developers of King of Fighters
Evo 2014 will take place July 11-13 at the Las Vegas Hotel and Casino. Evo's 2013 Indie Showcase included games like Samurai Gunn and Treachery in Beatdown City as well as Nidhogg and TowerFall. dave
