The Great Kingdom is a full-length movie that tells the story of the people who made Dungeons & Dragons.
This Kickstarter trailer, designed to help the producers finish their movie, shows many of the locations associated with D&D's inception and growth, and includes interviews with designers who were close to D&D inventors Gary Gygax and Dave Arneson.
"The Great Kingdom explores the personalities behind the game and the families they engendered," offered the Kickstarter pitch. "This is the saga of the people who brought a company from its humble basement beginnings and transformed it to a multi-million dollar corporation."
The movie is looking for $50,000, and is currently about 20 percent towards that goal, with 25 days to go.
