The Destiny beta will launch for Xbox 360 and Xbox One "soon after" its debut on July 17 for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4, Xbox's Larry Hryb confirmed today via Twitter.
Players can gain access to the beta by pre-ordering the title on either console. Access codes will be given out on a first-come first-serve basis while they are available.
Sony Computer Entertainment group CEO Andrew House announced the timing for the Destiny beta during the company's E3 press conference earlier this month. The alpha test for the title began the weekend immediately following E3.
