Publisher Nordic Games today announced that its Windows PC supernatural murder mystery The Vanishing of Ethan Carter will be available in digital and retail boxed versions in Q3 of this year.
The picturesque game, developed by The Astronauts, follows detective Paul Prospero as he investigates the disappearance and brutal murder of a boy named Ethan Carter. Players gather clues from the game's environment with the help of Paul's supernatural ability to see the final moments of a victim's life.
The Astronauts is an independent studio formed by former members of People Can Fly.
"The Vanishing of Ethan Carter immediately had the finger on our pulse," said Nordic Games' Reinhard Pollice. "We're excited to be involved with this one-of-a-kind horror/mystery game. To collaborate with The Astronauts is the icing on the cake."
