Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel is scheduled to launch on Oct. 14 in North America, with an international release slated for Oct. 17, Gearbox Software announced.
Those who pre-order the new release will be able to access bonus content Shock Drop Slaughter Pit. This will take place in an old Dahl facility on Pandora's moon where players will meet a former military recruiter TR4-NU who has since gone insnae. Players will get loot for succeeding against enemies in the Slaughter Pit.
You can check out a 15 minute co-op walkthrough of the game here, narrated by Gearbox Software's James Lopez and 2K Australia's Joel Eschler. In it you'll see the game played from the point of view of Athena the Gladiator and Wilhelm the Enforcer in co-op play, with a cameo from Claptrap the Fragtrap.
The Pre-Sequel was announced earlier this year, in development by 2K Australia. Its reveal followed confirmation from Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford that the studio was not working on Borderlands 3.
The company has also released a new trailer which shows off moon monsters, vehicles and a dance off created by Harmonix. You can watch that below.
