The 2014 Pokemon US National Championships will be streamed for the first time ever via Twitch when the competition takes place from July 4 - 6, The Pokemon Company International announced today.
The competition is set to take place in Indianapolis, Ind., and will feature a livestream of Pokemon X and Y and Pokemon Trading Card game matches. The schedule is as follows:
- Saturday, July 5, noon-5 p.m. ET: Pokemon Video Game Swiss Rounds
- Saturday, July 5, 5-9 p.m. ET: Pokemon TCG Swiss Rounds
- Sunday, July 6, 9 a.m.-2 p.m. ET: Pokemon TCG Top Cut and Finals
- Sunday, July 6, 2-5 p.m. ET: Pokemon Video Game Top Cut and Finals
Attendees with a copy of Pokemon X or Y will be able to snag a special Shiny Mamoswine — similar to the one used by 2013 Pokemon World Champion Arash Omatti — during the event.
The Pokemon World Championships take place in Washington, D.C. from Aug. 16 - 17.
