A sequel to Fruit Ninja Kinect appears to be in development, according to a listing on the Australian Classification Board.
Called Fruit Ninja Kinect 2, the game is referred to as a multiplatform title — likely for both Xbox 360 and Xbox One — with Montreal-based Hibernum Creations as the developer. Halfbrick Studios, the Australian company that created Fruit Ninja, is listed as the publisher of the sequel. The Australian Classification board rated Fruit Ninja Kinect 2 on July 9, and assigned a classification of 'G' for General, the equivalent of the Entertainment Software Rating Board's 'E' for Everyone rating.
The original Fruit Ninja Kinect (screenshot above) was released in August 2011 on Xbox Live Arcade. It was developed by Halfbrick and published by Microsoft Studios. Reached for comment, a Halfbrick representative did not deny the information in the Australian Classification Board listing, but told Polygon, "I won't be able to share any details at this point."
