There are "about three dozen" depositions that must be performed in the 38 Studios lawsuit before Aug. 15, The Associated Press reports.
The mid-August date represents the end of the lawsuit's evidence-gathering phase. Max Wistow, the former Rhode Island Economic Development Corporation's lead attorney, revealed that depositions began last October.
Rhode Island filed suit against former members of 38 Studios and the EDC in November 2013, claiming that it was not given adequate information about the risks associated with the $75 million loan guarantee provided by the state. Former Red Sox pitcher Curt Schilling's development studio, creator of Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, declared bankruptcy in June 2012.
