Project Cars coming to retail following Bandai Namco deal

Three years ago, U.K. developer Slightly Mad Studios raised $5 million for its driving game Projects Cars, through its own crowdfunding efforts. Today, the game was picked up for full distribution by Bandai Namco

Project Cars will be released by Bandai Namco in November for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Wii U and Windows PC. The game's developer said the company had set out to make "a driving experience that's the most authentic on the planet," according to creative director Andy Tudor.

"Combining the passion of an involved racing community with the talents of an extremely talented development team with pro-racing expertise creates an unprecedented collaborative effort to develop a true next-gen racing experience," said Bandai Namco's Chris Gilbert.
