Sniper Elite 3, which is now letting everyone shoot Hitler in the balls, will offer a new series of missions in which jut-jawed sharpshooter Karl Fairburne saves Churchill from the Nazis — presumably by shooting all of them in the balls, too.
"Save Churchill" is the name of the three-part series, Chapter One of which is out now for the PC version on Steam (with console versions to follow later). It returns players to Siwa Oasis, the fifth mission of the game, with a different bend on events there.
Tim Jones, the creative director for Sniper Elite 3, says "Save Churchill" is predicated on the run-up to the 1943 Casablanca Conference in Morocco, in which the Allies set forth their doctrine of unconditional surrender. In this alternate history, Nazis are trying to assassinate Churchill before that summit, and Fairburne's job is to stop them
Sniper Elite 3 will also offer new multiplayer maps, for free, to players this summer, beginning with "Airfield." It's modified from a map used in the singleplayer campaign, assuming that a bombing run has since taken place down the center of the airstrip.
Sniper Elite 3 launched June 27 and is available for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Windows PC, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
