Custom rainbow 'Gaystation' is being auctioned to support an LGBTQ network

Swedish electronics retailer Webhallen is auctioning a custom-painted PlayStation 4 in honor of the Stockholm Pride Festival. The console is rainbow striped and emblazoned with a pixel heart. The 500 GB PS4, dubbed "The Sony Gaystation 4," also comes with four games.

The description on Webhallen's auction page includes a comment on the company's inclusive stance on video games: "On Webhallen, we are gamers in heart and mind, keen that as many as possible have the opportunity to feel welcome and enjoy the world's largest and fastest growing interest: TV & computer games."

The current high bid is 11,300 kr, roughly $1,659. The auction ends on August 3, 2014. 100 percent of the auctions proceed will be given to the RFSL Newcomers, a "network for LGBTQ refugees and LGBTQ migrants who have fled persecution based on sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression. Newcomers is also a network for LGBTQ persons who have just moved to or already live in Sweden because of other reasons."
