Bayonetta: Bloody Fate, the feature-length anime film starring Platinum Games' gun-toting witch, is slated to launch in North America on Oct. 21 — and if you're too impatient to wait until then, you can check out the English dub's opening below.

The anime, led by Afro Samurai director Fuminori Kizaki and produced by animation studio Gonzo, was first released in Japan last year. The film follows Bayonetta through the events of the original game, a series of battles against angels as she unravels the mystery of her long-forgotten past.

The Western version will see Hellena Taylor reprise her role as Bayonetta, as well as most of the game's voice actors returning for their own respective roles.

Fans can currently pre-order Bayonetta: Bloody Fate on Blu-ray or DVD for $26.24 through publisher Funimation's website. The film will arrive just in time for the launch of sequel Bayonetta 2 on Wii U.
