Monster Hunter Freedom Unite is now out on the App store

Monster Hunter Freedom Unite, a mobile game based on Japan's Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G, is now out on the App Store for $14.99.

The action role-playing game sees players work together to hunt down beasts, progress through a series of quests and explore the fighting combat system in full. Players will also be rewarded for their use of the combat system and encouraged to find more experienced hunters to learn from their expertise.

This new iteration features a few updates, including higher HD resolution with support for up to 2048 x 1536 on iPad, touchscreen optimization, a new target camera option, support for controller peripherals on iPhone and iPod Touch and real-time four player co-op battles through wi-fi.

Monster Hunter Freedom Unite first launched in North America in 2009 for PlayStation Portable. The game is an expansion of the original Monster Hunter Freedom 2.
